This is the future Buck Rogers, a 20th century fighter pilot, finds himself in when he undertakes a mission to shoot down an enemy battle satellite. During the battle, the cockpit of Buck's ship is ruptured, and his is blown out of orbit. Only the special cryogenic device on board saves Buck from the freezing vacuum of space.
